Clark Lake is a 15-acre lake located in Commerce Charter Township, Michigan. Detroit is 35 miles southeast, and Ann Arbor is 39 miles southwest.

The closest location for emergency care is Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, four miles south. The Oakland County International Airport is seven miles north.

Life on the Water

This small lake, although seemingly one-dimensional, offers different kinds of fun for its residents! Typically, a lake this size would only offer low-speed water sports, like kayaking, but Clark Lake is technically a private, all-sports lake.

However, due to its small size, residents usually don't see too many folks jet-skiing or waterskiing on the water. Its neighbor, Carroll Lake, is the main destination for residents of both lakes to enjoy high-speed watersports as they are conjoined by an easily navigable channel.

Clark is better suited for water fun like swimming, kayaking, sunbathing, or fishing. Anglers can expect to catch black crappie, carp, largemouth bass, rock bass, and bluegill.

For those days when the lake life is not an option, take a short drive over to Alpine Valley and shred some slopes. There are trails for every skill level.

After a long day outdoors, grab a bite to eat at one of many nearby restaurants. Examples of excellent cuisine include Shark Club, Mexico Lindo, Yogurt Blast Frozen Yogurt & Bubble Tea, and Mr. C's.

The Pontiac Lake State Recreation Area in Waterford, Michigan, is well known for the wide variety of outdoor activities you can do! There is a model airplane flying field, a dog park, the longest beach in Southern Michigan, and one of the most highly rated mountain biking courses in the U.S.
